Cricket, Game of the Gods

Focus:

This WebQuest basically focuses on Cricket in Australia. The history of Cricket, definitions of cricket terms, understanding the basic rules and concepts of the game of cricket, and finding out about why cricket is such a popular sport.

 

Objectives/Goals:

This webquest has 4 main tasks that will be undertaken for the students to gain a better understanding into the Australian cricket world

-------->Learn about the history of cricket
-------->Figure out all of the funny language used in the cricket world
-------->Finally learn how to actually play the game of cricket and be able to go out and have fun while playing!
-------->Learn about the role of cricket in Australian society
 

 

Resources:
Prerequisite Skills: Comfort level with the Internet
Technology Needs/Materials Needed: Cricket Ball, Cricket Bat, Stumps, Field
Although students will be working in groups, it is necessary for each student to have a computer available to complete the task, and each group member must have internet access.
