Extra Information:
This quest works best if the students are somewhat familiar with the artists. This project will take 4-5 one hour class periods depending on class size and length of presentations. This project could be used with any artists of your choice. It's fun to encourage the student to dress like an artist or a group of students dress up like characters in a painting, this helps to make the presentation more memorable, ex:student dresses up as "The Old Guitarist" during Van Gogh's Blue Period. My goal for this project was to give students several ways to remember their artist: by researching, creating like the artist, and presenting the artist to the class.
It is neat to take a picture of the student dressed up and display it next to their painting.
