Bullying Webquest

FOCUS:

This webquest is meant to help students investigate a topic in the area of bullying in depth.  They can choose the topic in this subject area to research that is of interest to them, so hopefully they will take more ownership of their project. 

 

OBJECTIVES/GOALS:

Students will research a bullying topic on the Internet (may also use some paper resources).

Students will fill out a graphic organizer to organize their information.

Students will create a Powerpoint or poster that contains an introduction, three subtopics (with details and elaborations), and a conclusion.

Students will create a brochure that relays all of the information that is contained in their presentation.

Students will document all of the sources that the received their information from.

 

PRE-REQUISITE SKILLS:

Students should be comfortable using the Internet and Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint and Publisher).

 

TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THIS WEBQUEST:

Students will be allowed five blocks (75 minutes each) to research bullying information and create their Powerpoint Presentation/Poster and Brochure.  Additional time may be given if needed.
