Starting Up Your Own Business

This Web-quest shows the students the importance of math in the “real world.” Focusing on running a business, students will utilize math and problem solving in a real world setting. Students will work in teams to find out what they will do and how the business will be run. Students will need to research what is needed to start and run a business in today’s market.

 

Prerequisite Skills: Comfort level with the Internet

 

Time Required: 6 days- 1 day for lessons and 4 days for preparation (45 minutes each) and 1 day for presentation. Technology Needs/Materials needed, students will need computer and projector if available for a power presentation.
